Wrong Side of the Sea is a song about a girl in love with a boy who lives across an ocean. She doesn't believe he ever had feelings for her as he keeps making excuses for them not to be together but he claims that he does. This is her letting go, laying out exactly how she feels and then saying her goodbyes. It is wistful, hopeful yet broken and lost. It tells of how she knows she has to let go but still holds onto that tiny bit of faith.
